Help your Club Set the Standard
We're proud to be partnering with Regional Sport Victoria and VicHealth to support the rollout of Set The Standard across our region, helping community sporting clubs build more welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe environments for everyone.
Community sport has an incredible ability to bring people together, create connection and foster a sense of belonging. But for some participants, experiences of racism and exclusion can impact whether they feel safe, respected and able to fully participate.
Set The Standard is a statewide initiative that equips coaches, committee members and club leaders with practical tools, resources and training to help prevent and address racism in community sport.
Rather than expecting clubs to have all the answers, the campaign provides practical guidance to build confidence, encourage positive conversations and support clubs to strengthen their culture over time.
As part of the rollout, we're working with VicHealth to bring a limited number of fully subsidised Reflect Forward anti-racism workshops to eligible clubs within our region. These interactive sessions are designed to help club leaders:
Better understand racism and its impact in community sport.
Build confidence to respond to racism if it occurs.
Create more inclusive and culturally safe club environments.
Access practical tools and resources that can be applied within their club.
Whether your club is just beginning this journey or looking to build on existing inclusion initiatives, these workshops provide practical support that can support your club to Set The Standard.
If your club is affiliated with one of the eligible State Sporting Associations listed below and you would like to participate in a Set The Standard Anti-Racism Workshop, we’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can help create community sporting environments where everyone feels welcome, respected and valued - and where every club has the opportunity to Set The Standard.
Workshop Eligibility:
These workshops are available to clubs affiliated with the following State Sporting Associations, all of whom are signatories to the Victorian Government Anti-Racism in Sport Pledge:
AFL Victoria
Basketball Victoria
Cricket Victoria
Football Victoria

Places are limited, so contact our team today to register your interest and learn how your club can get involved.
