Increasing Junior Sport Participation
During the middle of 2023, we surveyed parents in the Greater Shepparton region with the aim of gathering information about their child’s experiences accessing and participating in sport and active recreation. We were interested in learning more about the challenges and opportunities that parents & children face when it comes to getting involved in these activities.
Over the next 3 weeks we are going to be sharing with you 3 themes that came out of the survey with tips on how you as a club can increase junior sport participation.
It’s all about decreasing barriers to participation where possible.
We found that the #1 barrier to junior sport participation in the Greater Shepparton region, is cost.
