We all want to see sport return to a ‘new normal’ model, where opportunities to participate in sport and active recreation are much more accessible and inclusive for all.
This document includes practical examples you can use to actively be more welcoming and inclusive. It also includes a small section of information to help better understand person first language, as well as a great list of resources to help you explore this topic further!

Local story
Launched in 2015, the AFL Victoria Country Masters team has provided a source of social connection and fitness for men aged 35 and over. The Goulburn Valley Giants have been taking on the 'Long Run!'. As a team, they will conquer 72km each. This is an awesome example of keeping each other connected, accountable and active at the same time. What a great idea! Clubs like GV Giants who are supporting local's physical and mental health are being encouraged to apply for up to $2.5 million in VicHealth grants.Click here to read more about the GV Giants.
