 Restrictions from 11:59pm Monday 9 August for Regional Victoria From tonight, 11:59pm Monday 9 August 2021, there will be an easing of restrictions for Regional Victoria:  

Stay at home requirement:

  • No stay at home requirement

Intra-state travel limit:

  • Cannot travel to metropolitan Melbourne except for a permitted reason

  • Travel permitted in regional Victoria with no limit on the distance you can travel

  • Must follow metropolitan Melbourne restrictions when in metropolitan Melbourne

  • It is strongly recommended that anyone travelling to an Alpine resort has a negative COVID-19 test in the 72 hours prior to entering the resort.

Face coverings:

  • Must be carried at all times

  • Must be worn indoors and outdoors except if at home, or when visiting an intimate partner’s place of residence or if an exception applies

Public gatherings:

  • Permitted for up to 10 people

Private gatherings:

  • Not permitted, intimate partner visits / single person bubble permitted

 Physical recreation & sport:

  • Open. Maximum patron cap of 100 people per space indoors and 300 per space outdoors

  • Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm. COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check-in

 Community sport:

  • Open for all ages, training and competition. Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies

  • Limited to minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity (i.e. players, coaches)

  • Spectators not allowed (excludes people necessary for events such as teachers, instructors, trainers, coaches, umpires, carers, parents and guardians)

Community facilities:

  • Open with a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm

  • Maximum 100 people per indoor space and 300 people per outdoor space

  • COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check-in
