Dear Good Sports Clubs,We are writing to inform you that from 1 January 2021, Valley Sport is no longer a community partner to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF) and the Good Sports program.Valley Sport and the ADF have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial partnership. Beginning in 2002, we have assisted over 177 sporting clubs within the Goulburn Valley to improve their management of alcohol, therefore creating a more welcoming, safe and inclusive club environment.The Good Sports program continues to be delivered across Australia, however Valley Sport will no longer be the contact for your club to update your Good Sports accreditation.To continue reading the letter, please click here.

Valley Sport, in conjunction with Sports Medicine Australia are delivering a Level 1 Sports Trainer course for the Goulburn Valley community. The course is fully accredited and professionally delivered and will provide you with all of the skills that you need to deliver Sports Trainer duties at a sporting club.The course cost is: $285 per person and is ran as a combination of two virtual sessions followed by one practical assessment.Session details:

Now is a great time to get your qualification to support your club in 2021.Undertaking an RSA course gives participants the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a safe and enjoyable local sporting club environment.

Sporting Clubs Grants Program - Sport and Recreation Victoria The Sporting Club Grants Program provides grants to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms and equipment, to improve the capacity and accessibility of Victorian clubs and other community sport and active recreation organisations, and increase the skills of their coaches, officials and managers.The program has four funding categories:

  • Category 1: Uniforms or Equipment

  • Category 2: Skill Development

  • Category 3: Organisational Operational Capacity

  • Category 4: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Recovery

Local Sports Infrastructure Fund - Sport and Recreation Victoria The 2021 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund is a state-wide competitive Victorian Government program that provides a range of grant opportunities across five funding streams.

  • Better Indoor Stadiums

  • Female Friendly Facilities

  • Community Sports Lighting

  • Facilities for Active Seniors

  • Scoreboards and Fixed Equipment

The Pride Foundation Small Grants program supports projects proposed by individuals and or organisations and or communities who would otherwise be limited by the constraints of other funding programs.

The project needs to directly or indirectly assist, involve and benefit LGBTQIA+ people and promote positive social outcomes and mental health in the community.

Max amount is $750 in 2021, there will be more grants awarded (if successful) each round.

This Grants program supports not-for-profit community groups and organisations, and Committees of Management within the Murrindindi Shire to meet governance requirements, develop new skills and build capacity. This includes activities that improve the ability to operate effectively, undertake future planning and support sustainability.Applications close at 4pm, on the last Wednesday of every month. COMING SOON: Reimagining Health: A VicHealth Partnership Grant If you have an idea that will support the physical health and wellbeing of Victorians, this is your opportunity to partner with VicHealth to bring it to life!

Reimagining Health: A VicHealth Partnership Grant will provide a total of $3 million in funding for community projects to support Victorians hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Through the grants, VicHealth will work with local partners to fund local solutions to improve Victorians’ physical and mental health.

VicHealth is offering grants of up to $3K, $10K or $50K for local organisations to support children and young people (aged 0-25 years) or Victorians experiencing disadvantage, by addressing food insecurity, creating meaningful social connection or providing opportunities for physical activity.

VicHealth are looking to fund a range of local and grassroots organisations who can support Victorians, including sports clubs, art or cultural organisations and community groups. Reimagining Health: A VicHealth Partnership Grant round opens 9am Wednesday 3 March 2021 and closes Tuesday 23 March.
