Regional Victoria:Physical recreation & sport facilities: • Open, subject to a density quotient of 1 person per 2 sqm applies when using a COVID Check-in Marshal, otherwise density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies• Maximum capacity 300 people per indoor space and 1,000 people per outdoor discrete space• Maximum group size: 50 peopleCommunity sport • Open for all ages, training, and competition• Density quotient of 1 person per 2 sqm applies when using a COVID Check-in Marshal, otherwise density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies• Maximum capacity 300 people per indoor space and 1,000 people per outdoor discrete space• Spectators allowed within venue and space limits

KIDs Voucher Program - Get Active Victoria - Round 2 is Now Open

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, along with uniforms and equipment essential for participation. Victorian Youth Week

Victorian Youth Week 2021 is a statewide celebration of the talents, achievements and contributions of young people. This year, Victorian Youth Week will start on Saturday 26 June and run to 2 July.

The Victorian Government is supporting over 90 events for Victorian Youth Week 2021 from cultural days to performances, art projects, gardening, sports comps, and workshops on everything from coffee making to choir singing. Promoting CHANGE (Community Health and Nutrition, and Government Engagement) in your sports club

Due to COVID-19 the practical component of the Sport Trainer Courses at the Shepparton Sports Stadium were postponed. A new date has now been rescheduled and an Advanced Sport Taping course has been added:

Level 1 Sports Trainer Course

  • 9:00am -12:00pm July 11th No new registrations permitted

Advanced Sport Taping 

Level 2 Sports Trainer Course

  • 4:00pm – 6:00pm July 11th No new registrations permitted

Pickleball is finally BACK and here to stay!

AFL Victoria Safer Canteen Grants

Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) is offering Victorian grassroots football and netball clubs grants of up to $1,000 to upgrade old and potentially dangerous gas and electrical equipment in their canteens.

The Golf Scholarship ProgramThis program supports the sport of golf in Victoria, by providing annual scholarships in three categories to encourage people to pursue careers in the golf industry:

  • Category 1: Golf administration up to value of $7,500

  • Category 2: Golf athlete (amateur or professional) up to value of $7,500

  • Category 3: Horticulture/golf course design/architecture, up to value of $7,500

TAC Club Rewards

The TAC Club Rewards Program has been designed to help grassroots football get back on the field, providing integral support to clubs as they prepare to return after the cancellation of the 2020 season.

As part of the program, all AFL Victoria aligned clubs across regional Victoria and in the metropolitan leagues can take part and earn up to $10,000 in funding by promoting road safety to their community.Closes: 31 July 2021For more information, visit: https://www.tac.vic.gov.au/about-the-tac/community/grants/tac-club-rewards-program

Coming soon: Greater Shepparton City Council Our Sporting Future Grants - Open July 12thGreater Shepparton City Council Our Sporting Future Grants are open soon and the funding program now has FIVE components including TWO new categories – Women & Girls and Youth Participation.

The five components are:

  • Minor: Funding of up to, but not exceeding $15,000.

  • Major: Funding of up to, but not exceeding $30,000.

  • Sports Aid: Funding between $500 and $5,000.

  • NEW: Women & Girls: Funding towards programs that increase opportunities for women and girls in sports clubs for development programs or training between $500 and $10,000.

  • NEW: Youth Participation: Funding towards initiatives to increase participation in sport for teams/sport between sixteen and eighteen years of age where significant decrease in participation has occurred over previous 1-3 years, for between $500 and $5,000

An organisation/group cannot obtain funding in more than one category at the one time.
