Grant Writing Workshop

Valley Sport will be facilitating a grant writing workshop for sporting clubs on Monday July 4th from 7pm-8pm.  The online session will give you the skills and knowledge to write grants for your sporting club. You will be provided with a number of tools and tips that will assist you in the grant writing process, as well where you can find grants for your club.   This session is FREE for all clubs in the Valley Sport service area, use the code VSLGA when checking out using this link: https://bit.ly/3mygVKW

Tackle Your Feelings Workshops

Valley Sport is excited to once again be partnered with Tackle Your Feelings for 2022.. Tackle Your Feelings is a free mental health training program available to local football netball clubs. The program strives to improve understanding and awareness of mental health as well as build skills within coaches to have conversations about mental health with their players.

Strategic Planning Workshop

Earlier this year Valley Sport hosted an online strategic planning workshop for clubs.

Club representatives from across the region attended the session to learn the importance of having a strategic plan and how it can help their club, as well as the basis of developing their own strategic plan.

 New Child Safe Standards Commencing July 1 2022  

New Child Safe Standards are commencing in Victoria from July 1. All sporting organisations that provide and operate services to children are legally required to comply with these standards.

 

The 11 standards are:

  1. Organisations establish a culturally safe environment in which the diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal children and young people are respected and valued.

  2. Child safety and wellbeing is embedded in organisational leadership, governance and culture.

  3. Children and young people are empowered about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously.............

Valley Sport alongside Shepparton Soccer Club are excited to bring Football Victoria's GO Soccer Mums Program to Shepparton Term 3.

GO Soccer Mums is an introductory football program designed specifically for women, where participants can have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment. It's not just for mums, but for all women

Sporting Club Grants Program 

The Sporting Club Grants Program provides funding for grassroots sport and active recreation clubs and organisations across Victoria.Funding categories are:

Category 1 - Uniforms or Equipment: Grants of up to $1,000

Category 2 - Skill Development: Grants of up to $2,000 for clubs or organisations, or up to $5,000 for leagues, associations or organisations that collaborate with multiple organisations.

Category 3 - Operational Capacity: Grants up to $5,000 for clubs or organisations.

Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant ProgramThe Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program helps Victorian sport and active recreation community organisations replace Essential Sports Equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of unpreventable and exceptional events such as fire, flood, significant storms, theft or criminal damage.

Grants of up to $2,000 (excluding GST) are available towards the replacement cost of the lost or damaged equipment that is owned by the applicant organisation.  

The TAC Club Rewards Program is for community football and netball clubs that encourages active participation in the mission to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on our roads. It takes all of us to make this happen. That’s why we’re asking AFL Victoria football and netball clubs to help TAC encourage everyone to do their bit, by rewarding those who are as passionate about the vision as the TAC.AFL Victoria aligned clubs across regional Victoria and in the metropolitan leagues can take part and earn up to $10,000 in funding by promoting road safety to their community.
