Tackle Your Feelings Workshops
Valley Sport is excited to announce that we will be partnering with Tackle Your Feelings again in 2022. Tackle Your Feelings is a free mental health training program available to local football netball clubs. The Tackle Your Feelings workshop was delivered at the following local football netball clubs in 2021.

New Child Safe Standards Commencing July 1 2022
New Child Safe Standards are commencing in Victoria from July 1. All sporting organisations that provide and operate services to children are legally required to comply with these standards.
The 11 standards are:
Organisations establish a culturally safe environment in which the diverse and unique identities and experiences of Aboriginal children and young people are respected and valued.
Child safety and wellbeing is embedded in organisational leadership, governance and culture.
Children and young people are empowered about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously.............

Last Thursday, Shepparton’s Princess Park played host to the 2022 GV Harmony Cup. The Harmony Cup has continued to grow since its inception in 2015. This year, schools and service providers from all over Central and Northern Victoria came together to showcase a great display of all abilities cricket.The round robin style event provides an opportunity for people with a disability to learn cricket for the first time or put practiced their skills to the test.Congratulations to both Shepparton / Youth Club United Cricket Club, Cricket Victoria and numerous other community supporters for putting together this year’s carnival. Valley Sport alongside Shepparton Soccer Club are excited to bring the Football Victoria GO Soccer Mums Program to Shepparton.
GO Soccer Mums is an introductory football program designed specifically for women, where participants can have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment.
It's not just for mums - but for all women, from all walks of life! It doesn't matter if you have never kicked a football before - absolutely no experience is necessary - anybody can take part!

Each Come and Try Session will feature a guided run down of the rules, time to have a practice and an opportunity to play games!Book your place here
Join us on Thursday April 28th from 4:00-5:00pm for a free junior soccer clinic at the Cobram Sports Stadium. (ages 5-12)Little to no experience is required. All equipment will be provided. Bring along a water bottle and personal essentials to join in on the fun.

Become a Get Active Kids Vouchers Activity Provider Today!You can register NOW to become a Get Active Kids Activity Provider and help kids get involved in sport and active recreation.By registering with the Program, you will be able to accept vouchers of up to $200 to support families facing financial barriers to pay for sporting memberships and participation costs.The Program is a great way to attract more participants and to support existing members facing financial barriers to participation.To be eligible under the Program you must meet the following criteria:
Be an incorporated entity registered with the appropriate regulator.
Possess an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
Be affiliated to a Sport and Recreation Victoria recognised Victorian State Sporting Association (SSA) or Victorian State Sport and Active Recreation Body (SSARB).

Significant Sporting Events Program The Significant sporting events program helps sporting, community and event organisations to deliver significant sporting events in Victoria. The Program has three types of grants available:Event Assistance Grants (up to $20,000)Event Development Grants (up to $150,000*)Strategic Event Planning Grants (up to $20,000)

Community Motorsport ProgramThe Community Motorsport Program is the Victorian Government’s first dedicated motorsport investment program that provides grant opportunities through two funding categories:
The Motorsport Club Assistance Category
The Infrastructure Upgrades and Equipment Category
Applicants may submit applications to multiple streams but can only receive a maximum combined grant amount of $20,000.

World Game Facilities FundThe World Game Facilities Fund is a Victorian Government funding program that assists local football (soccer) clubs and organisations to upgrade existing or develop new facilities across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Up to $500,000 in funding available for the following projects.
Building new or redeveloping change rooms and pavilions to increase capacity, inclusion and safety.
Building new or redeveloping sports fields to increase capacity and safety. • Outdoor synthetic surface installations.
Projects that result in energy or water efficiency, with a direct impact on participation, such as warm season grass conversions.
Sports lighting that improves facility capacity and participant safety. Requests for replacement of lighting with LED lights are not eligible unless part of a new lighting installation.
Infrastructure on school land with confirmed community use.
Projects that benefit multi‑sport outcomes where football is the primary beneficiary

Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant ProgramThe Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program helps Victorian sport and active recreation community organisations replace Essential Sports Equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of unpreventable and exceptional events such as fire, flood, significant storms, theft or criminal damage.
Grants of up to $2,000 (excluding GST) are available towards the replacement cost of the lost or damaged equipment that is owned by the applicant organisation.

Community Cricket Grant Program
The $13.5 million Community Cricket Program is a state-wide competitive Victorian Government investment program that provides a range of grant opportunities across two funding streams.
The following projects may be funded under the Community Cricket Facilities stream. (see guidelines for more projects)
cricket training nets/facilities that are publicly accessible and may be multi-sport.
pavilion/clubroom developments with female friendly changerooms.
irrigation and drainage upgrades that improve capacity, inclusion or safety.
facilities on school land with confirmed community use.
new cricket pitches and/or cricket grounds (other than in exceptional circumstances outlined in Section 5).
ground upgrades that increase capacity or safety.
sports lighting that enables new programming, improves capacity, inclusion or safety. Requests for replacement of lighting with LED lights are not eligible unless part of a new lighting installation.

Governance, Skills and Capacity Building Grants
This Grants program supports not-for-profit community groups and organisations, and Committees of Management within the Murrindindi Shire to meet governance requirements, develop new skills and build capacity. This includes activities that improve the ability to operate effectively, undertake future planning and support sustainability. Up to $2,000 is available.Closes: 4pm, on the last Wednesday of every month. Quick Response GrantsThe overall purpose of the grants program is to provide a funding scheme that strengthens the involvement of community organisations in the development of services, management of facilities, events, arts and culture, tourism, promotion of health, supply of equipment, promotion of environmental sustainability and infrastructure in the community. Quick Response Grants of up to $1,000 are open all year round.
