Sports Clubs & Associations, We Want To See How We Can Help You!

Our Club Support Officers are surveying clubs to help us better understand the position of regional sports clubs and associations. Our team hopes to gain a deeper insight into how clubs are faring during what has been an incredibly interrupted couple of seasons, and we hope to be able to assist your club moving forward.

Current Restrictions: From 6pm Friday 29th October 2021

As a result of higher vaccination rates and lockdown efforts, restrictions will ease tonight. From 6pm 29 October 2021 (80% 16+ fully vaccinated on the roadmap) regional Victoria and Metro Melbourne come together under the same rules.Community sport can reopen from this weekend. Vaccination requirements do not apply to community sport. This includes attendees who are necessary to facilitate the community sporting activity, such as participants, workers, and volunteers. The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families get their kids involved in organised sport and recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, along with uniforms and equipment essential for participation. Active and Healthy Communities GrantsThe Community Grants Program - Strathbogie Shire Council is divided into five categories. The Active and Healthy Communities Grants is one of the categories. Some ideas this category supports are; the purchase of project related equipment/materials, building more capable community groups such as training and the provision of essential equipment with priority given to safety equipment.Amount of sponsorship: $5,000 (max). Closes: 31 October 2021.For more information, please visit our website: https://valleysport.net.au/active-and-healthy-communities-grants/

The Country Football and Netball ProgramThe Country Football and Netball Program provides funding to assist regional football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations to upgrade and develop facilities in rural, regional and outer metropolitan locations. Eligible organisations may submit up to three applications, however no application can exceed the maximum grant amount of $200,000.Closes: 1 December 2021.To find out more, please visit: https://sport.vic.gov.au/grants-and-funding/our-grants/country-football-and-netball-program

Significant Sporting Events Program The Significant sporting events program helps sporting, community and event organisations to deliver significant sporting events in Victoria. The Program has three types of grants available:Event Assistance Grants (up to $20,000)Event Development Grants (up to $150,000*)Strategic Event Planning Grants (up to $20,000)

Community Motor Sport ProgramThe Community Motorsport Program is the Victorian Government’s first dedicated motorsport investment program that provides grant opportunities through two funding categories:

  • The Motorsport Club Assistance Category

  • The Infrastructure Upgrades and Equipment Category

Applicants may submit applications to multiple streams but can only receive a maximum combined grant amount of $20,000.

Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant ProgramThe Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program helps Victorian sport and active recreation community organisations replace Essential Sports Equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of unpreventable and exceptional events such as fire, flood, significant storms, theft or criminal damage. 

Grants of up to $2,000 (excluding GST) are available towards the replacement cost of the lost or damaged equipment that is owned by the applicant organisation.  

This Grants program supports not-for-profit community groups and organisations, and Committees of Management within the Murrindindi Shire to meet governance requirements, develop new skills and build capacity. This includes activities that improve the ability to operate effectively, undertake future planning and support sustainability. Up to $2,000 is available.Closes: 4pm, on the last Wednesday of every month. Quick Response GrantsThe overall purpose of the grants program is to provide a funding scheme that strengthens the involvement of community organisations in the development of services, management of facilities, events, arts and culture, tourism, promotion of health, supply of equipment, promotion of environmental sustainability and infrastructure in the community. Quick Response Grants of up to $1,000 are open all year round.
