Previously known as Apply first aid or Senior first aid, this training course will give you the skills and knowledge required to provide First Aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

The course will be delivered by TalkSmart Training.The course involves an Online component to be completed prior to a 90 minute practical assessment to be undertaken at the Shepparton Sports Stadium.

Valley Sport, in conjunction with Sports Medicine Australia are delivering a Level 1 Sports Trainer course for the Goulburn Valley community. The course is fully accredited and professionally delivered and will provide you with all of the skills that you need to deliver Sports Trainer duties at a sporting club.The course cost is: $285 per person and is ran as a combination of two virtual sessions followed by one practical assessment.Session details:

Now is a great time to get your qualification to support your club in 2021.Undertaking an RSA course gives participants the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a safe and enjoyable local sporting club environment.

Valley Sport are proud to announce our partnership with Tackle Your Feelings.

Tackle Your Feelings is a collaboration between the AFL Coaches Association, the AFL Players Association, Zurich Financial Services Australia and the Z Zurich Foundation.

The five-year program aims to improve mental health resilience, support and to promote behaviours which support better mental health within 500 Aussie Rules community football clubs.We will be working in conjunction with them to promote mental health awareness for football and netball clubs across our catchment. The Shooting Sports Facilities Program is a Victorian Government funding program that provides funding support for projects that improve the quality and sustainability of shooting sports facilities and activities across Victoria.Applications close 16 Feb 2021. The Pride Foundation Small Grants program supports projects proposed by individuals and or organisations and or communities who would otherwise be limited by the constraints of other funding programs.The project needs to directly or indirectly assist, involve and benefit LGBTQIA+ people and promote positive social outcomes and mental health in the community.Max amount is $750 in 2021, there will be more grants awarded (if successful) each round.Round 1 closes 13th March 2021.Click here for more information: https://pridefoundation.org.au/pages/small-grants/

This Grants program supports not-for-profit community groups and organisations, and Committees of Management within the Murrindindi Shire to meet governance requirements, develop new skills and build capacity.
